Le mat\u00e9riau sp\u00e9cifiquement plus l\u00e9ger \u00e0 s\u00e9parer en dessous de la densit\u00e9 1 flottera par cons\u00e9quent, tandis que le plus sp\u00e9cifiquement plus lourd coulera. Tout cela prend du temps. Le milieu de s\u00e9paration utilis\u00e9 est de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence l&rsquo;eau. Si d&rsquo;autres densit\u00e9s sont requises, la densit\u00e9 du milieu de s\u00e9paration est ajust\u00e9e en ajoutant des substances dont l&rsquo;effet d&rsquo;application oriente celui de l&rsquo;eau dans la direction souhait\u00e9e. Les alcools ou les sels sont ici connus comme mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res. Cependant, il peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre d\u00e9fini comme des liquides basiques.<\/p>\n<p>Il en r\u00e9sulte deux fractions: premi\u00e8rement, les d\u00e9bris flottants, qui sont des solides de faible densit\u00e9, et deuxi\u00e8mement, les d\u00e9bris qui coulent, qui sont des solides de plus grande densit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Les usines utilisant cette m\u00e9thode se caract\u00e9risent en partie par des bassins de traitement d&rsquo;un volume important.
